Belleek Marks.
Various marks have been used by Belleek over the years since the pottery was founded in 1857. One of the earliest was a circular band (see image lower left) with the wording 'Belleek Enniskillen' which was followed by the more familiar Wolfhound Harp and Roundtower which has been the core feature of the factory logo and is still used today on traditional pieces made at Belleek.
Below left, the first 'Belleek' 'Round Mark' and below that, the newest marking for production from 2008 onwards. Although similar to the 'Gold' period marking there are minor differences to the design plus use of a much deepr brown colouring
Our thanks to Neville Maguire for use of images of First Period Earthenware Tea Pot Stand and Round Mark from his book 'Belleek in Context'
