Now a firm tradition at our International Conventions, Dean Bagnall, right presided over a 'seed auction' for the next convention in Toronto 2001. If you have not witnessed Dean in operation extracting bids from a group of unsuspecting collectors, then it is a wonderful experience. Good-humoured banter and coaxing of bids from those gathered. All too soon, it was time for farewells, traditional breaking of the 1999 Convention Plate mould and everyone eagerly awaiting the 2001 Convention in Toronto, Canada.
