Belleek started production of their world famous baskets in 1863 following the arrival of William Henshall at Belleek Pottery. Since that date, baskets have been in constant production and there are so many variations and designs that it is impossible to illustrate every basket produced by Belleek. In post war years, the pottery moved to pastel decoration to the handles and flowers. The last thirty years or so has seen production of many limited edition and special edition baskets plus the advent of QVC has seen Belleek produce 'exclusives' and special ranges of baskets for them.
