It's been a great year for meetings in 2011. Our first gathering was during March when we met up in Cornwall, then our Summer AGM at our usual central Coventry location, then an international convention in Chicago which certainly kept nine UK full members and a good number of our associate members very busy! As Autumn began, we met in the Peterborough area for the first time and then our thoughts turned to Christmas which this year which was hosted by Elaine and Paul Ewings at their home on the Friday and then at the famous Christmas Market in the beautiful City of Lincoln on the Saturday. We had a lovely Christmas Party weekend. On Friday evening, Elaine and Paul Ewings looked after us all very well, with lots of ingenious canapés served on Belleek Earthenware platters and continually topped up wine glasses. Saturday was very busy at the Lincoln market, it had a real Christmas buzz and many of us were able to look round the Cathedral whilst the choir were practicing their carols, dinner at the Wig and Mitre was some of the best 'pub fare' we have had for some time.

The raffle was drawn during Friday evening and the prize winners were Diana Awdry and Chris Reynolds who won the first two prizes as shown above. we also learned that the UK Group honouree for 2011 was .......a very surprised Pat Tubb who will be presented with her well deserved award at our Spring 2012 meeting in Portsmouth.
